Heats define the time period when the animal is ovulating and is ready to be mated. Heats can occur several times a year for an animal for a period of time.

Heat Concludes After: Length of a heat in weeks.

Heat Starts Date: Based on the day and the month specified here, a recurring reminder is generated at the time of the heat each year and displayed in the reminder calendars.

Add Animal or Group: Here we can add a group of animals or a single animal to the list. A group will be processed as a batch entry and individual records generated for each animal in the group when used.

A mating defines the exact time the animals were paired to make children. Here we can see any genetic diseases listed and use this information to determine if the two animals should be mated as we don’t want a genetic defect being passed on to future generations.

Artificially Inseminated: Regardless if only the sperm of a fertile male was used, we must specify the father so that our records are complete. Create a profile for the donor if need be.

Mating Date: The date and time the mating took place.

Mating Female: A list of female animals to select from.

Mating Male: A list of male animals to select from.

TUTORIAL STEP: Tap the “MATING DATE” button > tap “NOON”.
