An enclosure is the house or pen the animal is kept in. Defining an enclosure will assist in tracking down the exact location of an animal.

Enclosure Name: This is the name of this particular enclosure.

Enclosure Color Id: The Color Id can be helpful to identify an enclosure. For example placing a green sticker on an enclosure's entrance and selecting green here could help staff identify which enclosure is which.

Profile Picture: A selected picture that identifies the enclosure. A thumbnail is generated from this image. Only JPEGS and PNGS are supported at this time.

Enclosure is located at this facility: Select or type the name of the facility defined earlier. We now have a way to identify exactly which enclosure in which facility an animal is currently at.

Enclosures Contents: Type or select animal names and add them to the enclosure. When the enclosure is saved the animal profiles will be updated to have the enclosure information stored in their profiles.

TUTORIAL STEP: Type “ENCLOSURE 01” in the "ENCLOSURE NAME" field.

TUTORIAL STEP: Tap “ENCLOSURE COLOR ID” and select a color.

TUTORIAL STEP: Tap “ENCLOSURE IS LOCATED AT THIS FACILITY” > tap “PICK FROM LIST” > tap “FACILITY 01”.

We are now in the Group profile section. A Group Profile Id is generated automatically. This is used to uniquely identify the group in the records in case groups with the same name are created. Groups are used to cluster and batch process entries for animals or enclosures or litters. This facilitates faster data entry.

Group Name: A unique name chosen to identify the group easily which can be modified any time.

Group Color: A color usually chosen to easily identify a group.

Profile Picture: A selected picture that identifies the group. A thumbnail is generated from this image. Only JPEGS and PNGS are supported at this time.

Group Type: Animals, Enclosures, Litters.

Group Members: Make sure the type is set first. Then select or type the name of an animal or enclosure to add to the group.

Note: Groups will be further defined in other sections when they are used as an example.
